Solar Meridian: A Sculptural Candle with a Signature Orange Wick

Solar Meridian is a sculptural candle built around a simple idea: keep the form clean, then add one unexpected line of colour.
Its signature bright orange wick runs through the centre of the candle, turning a functional element into part of the design. Against the minimal silhouette, the wick becomes a vivid graphic detail — subtle from a distance, unmistakable up close.
Minimal form, unexpected colour
Solar Meridian was designed for interiors where a candle can be more than a source of light. Its simple column shape makes it easy to place, while the orange wick gives it a distinctive visual character.
The collection comes in five colours: Black, Red, Green, Natural Wax, and White. Each creates a different relationship with the orange wick — from strong contrast to a softer, more understated combination.
Black makes the orange almost electric.
Red creates a warm, energetic pairing.
Green brings a more natural, unexpected contrast.
Natural Wax keeps the palette quiet and lets the wick take the lead.
White offers the cleanest, most graphic expression.
A candle designed as an object
Like other WOOD MOOD candles, Solar Meridian is made in Ukraine and finished by hand. The collection brings together the things we look for in our designs: a clear idea, honest materials, and a detail that makes the familiar feel new.
It is a design candle for modern interiors, but it does not need to be placed on a pedestal. Solar Meridian works just as naturally on a dining table, shelf, bedside table, or alongside other objects.
Because sometimes the smallest detail is what makes an object memorable.
